Workshop entitled "Plagiarism – An Opportunity to Learn, Teach & Excel” on 24th June 2020

It gives us great pleasure to invite you for the upcoming virtual workshop "Plagiarism – An Opportunity to Learn, Teach & Excel” being organized on June 24, 2020 by the Department of Bioresources, University of Kashmir, in association with Turnitin. This workshop is a Part of Online Workshop Series started by Department of Bioresources for the Faculty and Research Scholars of the region for their professional development and to maintain highest research standards and ethics. This Workshop entitled "Plagiarism – An Opportunity to Learn, Teach & Excel” will include a series of lectures as per the agenda and a hands on practice session regarding the use of anti-plagiarism software Turnitin studio and Graescope.

 

The workshop will start with the welcome address by the Organising Secretary of the Workshop Dr Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Coordinator Department of Bioresources followed by speeches by Dean Academic Affairs (Prof. Akbar Masood) and Dean Research (Prof Shakeel Romshoo). The workshop will formally be inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Talat Ahmad, Honourable Vice-Chancellor, and University of Kashmir. The workshop will cover presentations on various aspects of Academic & Research Integrity and include a virtual demonstration of how world-leading similarity detection applications like Turnitin Similarity and Turnitin Feedback Studio can be leveraged to build a culture of academic & research integrity at leading universities.
